Billing and Credit Policy

This page explains how paid plans are billed, when credits become available, and how usage is measured across eligible subtitle, Shorts, and voice workflow features.

Plan activation and billing cycle

  • Paid plans are billed upfront for the selected monthly or yearly billing cycle.
  • Yearly pricing on the pricing page is shown as a monthly equivalent and billed annually.
  • Paid access and included credits are provisioned only after successful payment is verified. Yearly plans grant credits monthly within the paid annual period, not as one annual credit balance.

Credits and eligible usage

  • Starter includes 80 credits per month. Free accounts may complete up to 3 project conversions, 3 TXT to SRT conversions, and 3 combined video/audio conversions per calendar month (UTC). Successful conversions also consume credits. Active reservations count toward the trial limit until released. Paid plans remove these conversion trial caps; credit charges still apply.
  • Included credits are shared across supported subtitle extraction, Shorts preview or render preparation, translation, TTS preview, and workflow automation features.
  • Credit consumption is measured by the action type and workload, such as requests, characters, or processing seconds.
  • Free, promotional, and subscription-included credits expire at the end of the displayed monthly period and are consumed before purchased credits.
  • A limited-time first-period bonus is a promotional recurring allowance: it expires at the first monthly credit reset, does not repeat on renewal, is limited to one eligible first paid subscription per account and campaign, and is not cash-refundable.
  • One-time purchased credits are tracked separately, are consumed after included credits, and expire five years after purchase unless mandatory local law requires otherwise.
  • Credits are a service usage allowance, not cash, stored monetary value, or transferable property.
  • Some workflows reserve credits before processing and commit them only after eligible work completes. Blocked, cancelled, failed, or unusable operations release only still-valid reserved credits unaffected by a payment refund; expired or refund-recovered credits are not restored.
  • Vietls may delay, deny, reverse, or rate limit credit-consuming operations when billing state cannot be verified, quota is insufficient, payment fails, or abuse risk is detected.

Voice generation

  • Standard TTS uses 1 credit per 90 input characters, premium TTS uses 1 per 45, and voice cloning uses 1 per 30. Charges are rounded up with a minimum of 1 credit per request. Each generated subtitle cue is a separate AI voice request. The confirmed server quote applies before processing.

Plan changes and cancellation timing

  1. For a supported upgrade within the same billing cycle type, the new plan starts a new paid period after payment is verified. Monthly upgrades charge the full new plan fee; annual upgrades deduct eligible unused prepaid value from the new annual fee. Existing unused credits keep their original expiry, and the new plan's included credits are granted once for the current month.
  2. Cancellation stops future paid renewals. A downgrade takes effect at the end of the current paid period and keeps future renewals active at the lower plan. Neither action reverses usage already consumed.
  3. Custom enterprise agreements may define different billing timing, credit allocation, or rollout rules in writing.
